The Hyundai Starex, also called the Hyundai H1, is the only van in the Speed Car Rental Aruba fleet. It seats 12, takes 4 suitcases, is automatic with air conditioning, and costs from $110 a day in low season when you rent for 3 days or more. Taxes and fees are added, including a 15% government tax on the rental price.

With 12 seats, everyone rides together and there is only one vehicle to park. To book, go to our van rental in Aruba page. The audio is a radio only, with no CD player and no Bluetooth, so plan to run music and navigation from your phone.
Count your luggage before you book. The van takes 4 suitcases. With all 12 seats in use that is 1 suitcase for every 3 people, so a full van needs to pack light or add a second car for the bags. Prices are per day, in US dollars. Taxes and fees are added, including a 15% government tax on the rental price. Book 3 days or more and every day is charged at the lower rate.
Thanksgiving week falls in low season. Christmas, New Year and March spring break fall in high season, when the van is from $180 a day for 3 days or more, about $15 a person with 12 people, before taxes and fees.
Do the math per person. One van at $110 a day means one booking, one driver and everyone together. In high season, for 3 days or more, the van is $180 a day. Three Nissan March cars (4 seats each, 12 in total) are $240 a day. In low season, for 3 days or more, three Nissan March cars are $105 a day, $5 less than the van, but they are three cars with three drivers.
If you are 5 or fewer, any of our 5 seat cars costs less than the van, for example the Nissan Versa from $45 a day. Up to 8 people also fit in two Nissan March cars, if two of you will drive. The van keeps everyone in one vehicle with one driver. Compare every car on the Tarifas y reservas.

Licence
Any valid driving licence, including a US or Canadian licence. The van needs no special licence: the same rule applies to every car we rent.

Fuel
Return the van with the same amount of fuel as when you picked it up.

Stick to the speed limit and slow down on wet roads.
